I’m going to share with you the effect of God’s abiding presence on the harvest by looking at two ministers in two different nations who have seen similar results over the same ten-year period. It’s my sincerest hope and desire that other ministers would choose to adopt the One Church One Day (1Church1Day) strategy, which is a modern application of an ancient blueprint first modeled by King David on Mount Zion.
How to Make the Greatest Contribution to Evangelism
Andrew Murray was a missionary who served in South Africa, transformed the Dutch Reformed Church, and was a forerunner in the Pentecostal movement. He wrote a powerful book called “With Christ in the Ministry of Prayer.” His passion for God’s presence impacted many.
Andrew said, “The man who mobilizes the Church to pray will make the greatest contribution to world evangelism in history.“
Recently, we’ve seen reports from India and Myanmar that illustrate how the catalytic strategy, One Church One Day, formerly Operation Rolling Thunder, which is based upon the restoration of David’s tabernacle, has empowered leaders to impact their nation’s history and the harvest.
Now, I know many other churches and ministries are praying, but I am simply making an observation from a 30,000-foot view. I started mentoring one leader in 2006 and another in 2009. One, working with leaders from seven denominations, founded Mount Horeb Prayer Center, and the other established the India Prayer League.
As I ministered at New Life in Milwaukie, Oregon, this past weekend, I shared with Pastor Ed an article from the Christian Post, May 31, 2019, titled "The good (Christian) news you didn’t hear from India," about the significant rise in the Christian population in India. He challenged me to grab a calculator and determine how many people were actually impacted. I’m humbled and amazed to see the vision and expectation we had actually coming true.
Since 1Church1Day was introduced in India, the Christian population has grown from 2.5% to 5.8%. The source article notes that some places, like Andhra Pradesh, are leading the way. Andhra Pradesh serves as the home base for the India Prayer League. They have 45 churches today (In 2026, there are now 250+) using the 1Church1Day strategy, which is just a modern application of the strategy King David used in his tabernacle. This 3.3% growth in the last 10 years translates to more than 39,600,000! That’s more than thirty-nine MILLION souls.
In government, they saw a Christian win a state election and a Telugu newspaper reported how that for the first time in history, the Christians outnumbered the Hindus in Andhra Pradesh.
In Myanmar, where I’ve mentored XXXXX since 2006, they used the strategy to launch MT Horeb Prayer Center, with seven denominations cooperating. They have seen similar results. The Christian population has grown from 4% to 6%. That's a 50% increase in the Christian population within the same time period. In a nation of 54 million, that equates to 1,080,000. Praise God! Isn’t that awesome?
In government, for the first time in history, a Christian was installed as vice-president. He just happened to be from the tribe that had used the One Church One Day Strategy, formerly Operation Rolling Thunder, to found the prayer center previously mentioned.

God's Presence Changes Everything
Over the years, we've discovered the One Church One Day strategy is cross-cultural and cross-denominational. God's word just works, as long as it is applied. The key is finding and empowering the catalytic leaders the Holy Spirit has deployed in cities and regions around the world.
One Church One Day is the strategy, and God's Strategic Servant Leaders describes the qualities of the catalytic leaders called to oversee this in each city and region.
